The Story Behind Grateful Nation Party Supplies

The idea for this company arose while we were planning a party for our son's homecoming after his 7 month deployment to Kuwait with his Port Security Unit in the USCG Reserve. After many internet searches and trips to the big party store chains, it became apparent that no one had come up with a party set to welcome home troops. We wanted our party to be really special because our son had missed so much during those seven months. Not only was he away for all the holidays and his 22nd birthday, but since he had to put his college career on hold, he did not get to graduate with his classmates. We had to settle for generic red, white and blue party supplies.

We've been at war for a long time and it was frustrating to think that of all the silly party themes out there, no one had thought to do one that supported our military and celebrated their safe return home. There is a lot of support out there for our troops, but this was a niche that we felt should be filled. We decided to look into printing up our own design that specifically welcomed home deployed troops and thanked them for their service. From the start, we knew we were not going to have the printing done overseas, even if it would be much less costly. The set simply had to be made in America no matter what. We shopped around and made a lot of hard decisions and finally had the sets printed up.

Along with all the support groups out there, including our partner, Operation Gratitude, we feel most Americans do appreciate what the members of our military do for us. We hope our business can contribute to that support in a unique way.
